About the Author: Barbara Lawrence's career began in her early teens as a model and actress under contract to 20th Century Fox Studios. Her first film, Margie, was produced by Darryl F. Zanuck and launched her 18-year career. Following nearly 30 movies and 70 television shows, capped with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Barbara retired to raise four children. Several years later, when she took a week-long river trip with her three sons deep into the Amazon Jungle-and the guide carried an AK 47-she wrote the outline for her future book, Welcome To The Jungle.
