One of my hobbies through the years has been to watch the reaction of audiences to humorous stories, puns, or jokes used by public speakers. The gamut of reactions by individuals has been entertainment in itself.
I have had opportunity to see and hear many orators, theologians, educators, and politicians. Each one in his own way scored points by subtle humor, innuendos, and genuine belly-laughs.
I learned early on that good humor was acceptable (and desirable) in a formal church worship service, a wedding, and yes, a funeral service — in good taste, of course. Good humor is therapeutic.
Friends have been a gold mine of resource by giving me humorous material for over 50 years. At last it has all come together in O GOD! Save the Seniors!
