Who Murdered Mom?
Who didn’t?
Margaret Largostern (Mom), owner and operator of a Washington DC PR
firm, specialized in the export of espionage and political corruption
across continents—from the Caribbean and South America to Africa, Europe
and Asia. Her husband, Edward, a five-time serial widower is her sole beneficiary and
claimant to Margaret’s two-million dollar life insurance policy.
Meanwhile, between final university examinations, Cynthia, his daughter,
is dragged ever deeper into her parents’ past shady activities. These
include the dubious circumstances surrounding the deaths of Edward’s
numerous ex-spouses.
Because Edward is operating under a rather broad “shadow of suspicion”
concerning Margaret’s death, he consents to a process of arbitration with
the insurance company in order to expedite settlement. That turns up an
ever-accelerating cascade of evidence uncovering the nefarious, the
humorous and (of course) the unexpected, as the story concludes with the
grand finale exposing — who, indeed, benefits by the death of Mom?
